Key Measures represent assemblies -such as walls, floors, or trusses – that can contain multiple SKU Products. They are central to Pipeline LBM’s estimating logic.

Use this procedure to create an individual Key Measure.

1. From the Dashboard, hover over or click Estimating, then select Key Measures.
2. Click the + (plus) icon in the upper-right corner.
3. In the New Key Measure dialog, enter the following:
   1. Enter a clear, descriptive name for the Key Measure.
   2. Choose a Category to organize the Key Measure within the Product Library and Job BOM, or in a Takeoff folder. Categories are optional.
   3. Choose your Manufacturer/Style from the dropdown.
   4. Choose the Unit of Measure that represents how this Key Measure will receive its takeoff input (for example: LF, SF, EA).
   5. Add Description  (optional)
4. Click Save.
