Review this article for instructions on how to enable and
utilize Spruce integration and data export functionality within the Pipeline LBM
software.
-
- Enable Spruce Export
- From the LBM Dashboard, click Settings (Gear icon) in the upper righthand corner
of the screen.
- Click Integrations.
Spruce is the third of four listed integrations.
- Slide the Enable button to the right to enable Spruce .
Note: Enable allows Spruce as an export choice in the Job BOM
drop down. Otherwise, if not enabled on the Integrations page, this
export option is not listed in the Job BOM drop down on the Jobs
page. Generally, a user will only enable one back office system at a
time.
- A user can choose whether the exported Excel file to Spruce includes
column headers or not by sliding the Delete Headers button right
for on or left for off.
- Click Save.
- Exporting Files to Spruce
- Click Jobs on the left screen navigation menu.
- Select the desired job from the displayed list of jobs .
- Click Job BOM on the left menu, under the selected job
name.
- Click the white ellipsis inside the dark blue square under the
BOM header on Job BOM screen.
- Choose Export.
- Select Spruce from Export Type dropdown menu.
- Click Export.
An Excel file is created.
- Excel Usage Report & CSV
Within the Job BOM page, once a user clicks on the white ellipsis inside the
dark blue box, there is an option for an Excel Usage Report or CSV. The usage
report is a communication tool between LBM and the general contractor or the
builder. The CSV is a native export that exports the Bill of Materials in a CSV
format.
Note: Spruce CSV exports do not support quoted values. Fields included in a Spruce CSV export must not contain commas, or the data may not import correctly.
