The following document will take a look at how to create a SKU substitution that automatically triggers based on the location field of a Job. Review the steps below to accurately execute SKU substitutions within Pipeline BOM regeneration.
From the Pipeline LBM Dashboard, use the Blue Navigation bar to select the Company dropdown.
Click on Locations.
Determine the location for which a new SKU is necessary. Click on that determined location.
On the Blue Navigation bar, select Substitutions.
Click plus button in the upper right corner of the SKU Substitutions modal.
Click on Select Product inside the Product drop down field.
Use the search field to find the Product that needs a different SKU at the determined location. Select that Product
In the Substitute SKU field, type in the SKU that is to be substituted for the Product at the determined location.
Click Save
The result is that when the Bill of Materials is generated, the PLBM user will be able to see a new substituted SKU has been applied based on the specific location determined within Pipeline LBM.
