Pipeline LBM 2025.2

PLBM Public API

The LBM Public API is now live, featuring enhanced functionality with comprehensive QA testing, including functional, security, and performance assessments. Monitoring and alerting systems have been configured, ensuring optimal API health and user experience.

Enhancements

  • A Measurement Type attribute is introduced to Units, allowing Key Measures to automatically inherit default Measurement Types based on the selected Unit, such as Linear for LF and Area for SF. Estimators will benefit from reduced manual entry as Key Measures will now automatically adopt the appropriate Measurement Type upon Unit selection, while still retaining the option to manually override the default if necessary. The available Measurement Types include Linear, Area, Count, with future considerations for Volume, Beam, and Joist. PLBM-12249
  • The latest version introduces enhanced Import/Export capabilities for the Measurement Type field in PLBM, facilitating a smoother onboarding experience and efficient bulk data management. Estimators can now import and export the Measurement Type field, ensuring compatibility with legacy templates while also maintaining existing Measurement Type definitions. PLBM-12254
  • The project estimator/administrator can now define and modify default Measurement Type assignments for Units, ensuring that Key Measures automatically inherit the correct Measurement Type. A new Measurement Type field has been added to the Units Page, which is not required for creating a new unit, allowing it to be left blank. PLBM-12255
  • The “Description” field has been removed from the Uses page in the application UI.  This streamlines the user interface and eliminates unused fields that do not add value to the workflow. PLBM-12320
  • The Import/Export functionality has been updated to remove support for the “Description” column on the Uses page. Import files containing a “Description” column will now trigger an error message stating “File Type Not Supported.” Additionally, the “Description” column will not be included in export templates or generated files, ensuring consistent handling across all relevant import/export tools. QA will validate imports both with and without the “Description” column to confirm correct behavior. PLBM-12607

Fixes

  • The Export All Libraries feature was identified to result in empty zipped files for certain client specific sites. Yet, in some cases, the feature functions correctly.  This resulted in some feature rework to ensure that Export All Libraries is built to function correctly on all sites. PLBM-12439
  • When attempting to delete a product that has been previously used in a BOM, the system correctly prevents the deletion and displays a “Failed to delete product” message. However, it has been observed that the product loses its category after the deletion attempt, regardless of whether the deletion is done individually or in bulk. This is now fixed. PLBM-12627
