LotSpec for AutoCAD Architecture version 2022.1

Release Date 2/7/2022

New Features

Option Packages

Option Packages can drive multiple option selections at once to enforce established sales standards for community defaults or specification levels. Multiple Option Packages can be applied together while also allowing for additional individual option selections if needed. Option Packages can be organized by color to help visualize the source for certain option selections and to better understand potential conflicts due to underlying option rules.

Solve History

The Solve History provides a platform to view records of previous solves and any related solve errors. This will be helpful when troubleshooting solve related issues after they have occurred and make it easier to zero in on any problematic drawings.

Remove Option Data

The Remove Option Data utility allows for the removal of all LotSpec option information from the selected objects. This aims to prevent unintended transformations during the solve process for objects that were copied which still retained LotSpec rules.

Enhancements

  • The Lot Job solve dialog has been revised to better handle the growing amount of configuration information and to provide a common Lot Job submittal experience when also using LotSpec Dispatch or LotSpec for Revit.
  • The Lot Job solve dialog now provides a toggle called Solve on LotSpec Remote allowing users to send the Lot Jobs directly to LotSpec Remote without requiring the LotSpec Dispatch utility to do so.
  • The Tools panel has been renamed to Utilities panel and displays more functions outside of the dropdown list making them more accessible.
  • Any source project files that are open will now be automatically saved if needed prior to executing a solve command. This will ensure no prior unsaved work is accidently lost as a result.
  • Created functionality to use custom linetypes for Poly option labels if desired. For example, linetypes with arrow indicators can be loaded to better illustrate the “left to right” and “right to left” direction of movement for the Poly options. See Knowledge Base
  • Enhanced the Option Label “On” buttons to allow users to only show labels for selected elements as opposed to all elements within the view.
  • LotSpec Remote will now always prioritize pending Lot Job types over Option Set Job types so that the more time sensitive and business critical job types don’t get stuck behind potentially hours of drafting related updates that are already in the queue.
  • The LotSpec Dispatch utility has been updated to 3.0 to fully support the new Option Packages functionality for both the ACA and Revit platforms.
  • The LotSpec Dispatch utility job status display page has been reworked to present more job related information. Pending jobs can now be placed on hold and resumed at a later time. All jobs can now be archived for record keeping or removed without navigating to the queue folder to do so. See Video Update
  • The LotSpec Dispatch utility branding is now consistent with the LotSpec core products.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that produced an error message when solving with the current layer turned “off”.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Drawing Busy” error would occur after using the Find Source Object utility which attempts to re-solve the source drawing while the solved drawing is still open.

Upgrade Note

  • For existing users of LotSpec Remote, the new version of LotSpec Dispatch 3.0 must be used after upgrading to LotSpec 22.1.
