Revit 2020 Releases

X-RAY Version 2020.3.1

Released 11/25/2020

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the addition of a condition group within the condition browser edit condition dialog was not being saved correctly.

X-RAY Version 2020.3

Released 8/14/2020

Enhancements

  • The Conditions From Model utility has been improved in many areas to enhance user productivity and quality of life. When defining conditions for creation, the user may now also specify information within the Key Measure ID, Description and Level fields. The right click contextual menu items for the Conditions From Model dialog have been updated to include an Uncheck All and Uncheck Selected option. Conditions that have been created by the Conditions From Model utility will be marked as “Active” if all required fields have been specified, such as Key Measure ID, Description, Quantity, and Unit. S-04315
  • The Parts category is now available for condition development and should work as expected when using undivided parts. Divided parts are still problematic with this release, as conditions will return both parent and child results making it difficult to zero in on the divided parts only.  S-04306
  • The Condition Browser has been updated to remember the user’s checked and unchecked categories or condition groups after adding, editing or deleting a condition. This will allow users to stay more productive by spending less time reconfiguring their workspace setup in between edits.  S-04307
  • The View Object Parameters feature has been changed to display parameter information alphabetically by type to provide more consistency when comparing information from one element to another.  S-04313
  • The default Condition Browser settings have been revised so that after installing a new version, the “Show Inactive” toggle for condition visibility will be turned “On” when no other previous settings have been found.  S-04305

Fixes

  • When adjusting the X-RAY rounding precision settings to use 3 digit trailing precision, the resulting quantity values now display properly when viewing totals for condition previews and also on generated reports. The Condition Browser preview results will now always display up to 3 digit trailing precision regardless of rounding precision settings. D-02480

X-RAY Version 2020.2.1

Fixes

  • HotFix – X-RAY now properly processes the new “||” operator in place of the original “or” operator.

X-RAY Version 2020.2

Enhancements

  • You can now assign a range group to a condition to produce a range of results (such as incremental lengths) as opposed to creating multiple conditions to accomplish the same thing which can drastically reduce the amount of conditions required to support framing key measures (such as wall and structural framing categories).
  • You can now create reusable quantity formulas that will be available within the edit condition dialog.
  • X-RAY 2020.2 will require a database upgrade to account for the new range group and quantity formulas functionality. During the database upgrade, any “and” operators found within conditions will be renamed to “&&” and any “or” operators will be renamed to “||”. This will become the new standard syntax for these operators moving forward.
  • With the new condition by element utility, you can now quickly create a new condition from a selected element or family.
  • With the new conditions by model utility, you can now create multiple conditions from any placed elements within the project at once.

X-RAY Version 2020.1

Enhancements

  • X-RAY has been moved to a new license server and you will now be required to receive new license keys to upgrade.
  • X-RAY now supports the use of floating (network) licenses.
  • The About dialog has been expanded to show additional information about the product version and license usage.
  • Connect no longer requires a minimum of one Revit Design Option to function properly if not using them for option management.
  • You can now use a Base export method when creating quantity exports for Pipeline during the base plan stages of a future Master Project.
  • You can now select multiple conditions at once when using the Condition Preview feature.
  • You can now assign custom Condition Groups to conditions for additional organizational and filtering ability. Users are required to update their database for this feature to be functional.
  • You can now use the right-click contextual menu to select all conditions and to mark all selected conditions active or inactive.
  • You can now use the Condition Browser Settings to show or hide the display of inactive conditions, empty categories, and unused Condition Groups.
  • You can now use the right-click contextual menu to apply a check to the Category and Groups fly-out menus.
  • You can now access the Connect help site directly by hovering over the ribbon menu while pressing the F1 key.
