Important Update Information
- Please contact support@strongtie.com before upgrading existing Revit projects to the 2025 version. Due to storage schema changes made in Revit 2025, a pre-upgrade project modification script must be run on existing LotSpec projects in order to preserve all settings after upgrade. Skipping this step will result in some lost LotSpec data!
- To access LotSpec’s new features, update your LotSpec via the multi-version installer. To learn more about LotSpec’s latest features, enhancements, and fixes, please visit the 25.0 Release Notes.
LotSpec for Revit version 2024.1
Released – 8/23/2024
Enhancements
- All recent enhancements and fixes implemented for our Revit 2023 version are now available for Revit 2024. Please review our Revit 2023 release notes for more details on new capabilities.
- Upgrade Note: For our LotSpec customers who also use Pipeline Connect, please perform simultaneous upgrades to align the 24.1 versions.
Fixes
- The ability to mirror a project using production solve types has been restored in this release. This addresses an issue that arose with the unexpected disappearance of Revit 2024 API calls that were key to allowing this capability to work without critical errors related to room tags, dimensions, and various other annotations. Due to the significant rework required to change how LotSpec handles project mirroring for production solve types, a short term compromise had to be made to disable the mirror capability for the Full Preview pre-production solve type. Because of this, we suggest using the Project solve when mirrored previews are desired.
LotSpec for Revit version 2024.0
Target Release – 5/15/2023
Enhancements
- LotSpec for Revit is now compatible with the new Revit 2024 platform.
Known Issue
- Important! – An issue related to how Revit 2024 handles some mirroring operations has been reported and filed with Autodesk that currently results in producing errors when solving projects with the mirror toggle that were not present in earlier versions of Revit. For customers who require opposite handed plan automation, it is recommended to remain in an earlier version of Revit until this issue can be resolved by Autodesk.
