LotSpec for Revit version 2025.1.0

Target: 3/10/2025

New

The latest release of LotSpec for Revit introduces multi-version support, simplifying installations for users working with multiple Revit versions. With this new version, one file will provide installation options for all supported Revit versions. Additionally, new feature developments can now be enjoyed by all of our Revit users and not just those operating in the latest version.

Primary Benefits

  • Multi-Version Support: One installation file supports all Revit versions (e.g., Revit 2023, 2024, 2025), streamlining the update process for users.
  • Unified Product Versioning: LotSpec will maintain a single product version number (25.1) for all supported Revit versions, ensuring consistency and ease of updates going forward.
  • Expanded Value Delivery: New feature value can be experienced by all users regardless of their Revit version, assuming the functionality doesn’t require a specific version of Revit to work properly.

Enhancements

  • Compatibility with LotSpec Remote Manager: LotSpec now includes an Auto-Start Remote toggle in the settings, ensuring that LotSpec Remote launches properly after Revit is launched by the Remote Manager.
  • Detail Management Improvements: Two additional fields, Vertical Space and Horizontal Offset, give users enhanced control over view title placement and alignment on fabricated detail sheets.
  • Comprehensive Logging Framework: A new logging framework captures detailed activity, improving troubleshooting and providing valuable insights for future product improvements.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that allowed users to save changes while still active within the Scope Box Preview or Partial Solves in order to prevent unintended damage to the project. Users will now only be able to save projects after the model has been restored.
  • Revised the scope box preview behavior so that custom detail families will now be grouped with detail elements. This will prevent data loss when restoring the model.
  • Resolved the Find and Replace Code feature issues that affected cloud models, causing option palette freezing and incomplete executions. Additionally, the execution report now displays all models involved in the Find and Replace Code process, offering improved visibility and tracking.
  • Resolved an issue in version 23.4.1 that caused the solving dialog to freeze. In version 25.1.0, the solving process now completes successfully and the cloud model uploads correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where LotSpec would crash if specific view plans were deleted in the Sheet project improving stability.

LotSpec for Revit version 2025.0.0

Release Date: 10/25/2024

Enhancements

  • LotSpec for Revit is now fully compatible with the .NET Core 8.0 platform and has been upgraded to support Revit 2025.
  • Important Upgrade Note: Please contact lotspec.support@strongtie.com before upgrading existing LotSpec projects to the 2025 version. Due to storage schema changes made in Revit 2025, a pre-upgrade project modification script must be run on existing LotSpec projects in order to preserve all settings after upgrade. Skipping this step will result in some lost LotSpec data!

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where solving a project type without cloud upload did not automatically open the workshared model after completion.
